Looks real right? It is NOT so please DO NOT OPEN.
Pushing scams are quite common this time of the year. Some notes below to protect yourself and your local unit.
Suspicious Emails: Be cautious of any emails that appear to be from PTA officials or familiar contacts but seem unusual or out of context. Phishing emails often contain urgent requests for personal information or financial transactions.
Verify the Sender: Always verify the sender's email address before responding to any request. Phishers often use email addresses that closely resemble legitimate ones but may have subtle differences.
Do Not Click on Links or Download Attachments: Avoid clicking on any links or downloading attachments from suspicious emails. These can contain malware or redirect you to fake websites designed to steal your information.
Request for Personal or Financial Information: Be wary of any emails asking for personal details, passwords, or financial information. Legitimate PTA communications will never request such information via email.
Report Suspicious Activity: If you receive a suspicious email or notice any unusual activity, report it immediately to your PTA leadership and ECCC President and Secretary.
Educate Your Members: Share this notice with all PTA members and encourage them to be cautious and report any suspicious emails or activity.
By staying informed and vigilant, we can protect our PTA community from these malicious scams.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
