Our Mission

To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in  schools, the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;

To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children, and;

To encourage parent and public involvement in the public  schools of the Nation.

What is the E Triple C?

The East Cobb County Council of PTAs (ECCC PTA) is made up of 35 local PTAs, whose volunteers offer their time, energy and skill to support our teachers and principals to give our children an excellent education.

There are more than 28,000 PTA members in East Cobb! Our PTA members are parents, grandparents, students, teachers, school administrators and community and business partners. We have a shared goal that our children receive a high-quality education, so that they may reach their highest potential.

The ECCC PTA and our local PTAs provide programs that enrich the student learning experience. East Cobb PTAs contribute funding to enhance science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) curriculum to expand the offerings in media centers and to provide access to reading and math software that supplements academic progress.

PTA family engagement efforts reach out to involve parents in their children's education.

PTA legislative teams remind our school communities to vote and educate members about policy issues impacting education.

The ECCC PTA membership team works with ECCC PTA business partners to offer PTA members discounts throughout the year.

Through the Reflections Art Contest and the Honoring Our Heroes Essay Contest, students have the opportunity to demonstrate talent in the arts and to write about a hero in their lives.

PTAs celebrate and embrace the diversity in our communities, encourage community service, facilitate programs to enhance environmental education and share best practices on health and wellness.

PTA organized activities such as fall fairs, fun runs, class picnics, dances, multicultural events, book fairs and field days cultivate a spirit of family community.

Join us in supporting our students and our schools because it's our responsibility to strengthen our children's educational success and to improve our children's opportunities for a better future whenever possible.

PTA’s National Standards for Family-School Partnerships

Standard 1: Welcoming all families into the school community—Families are active participants in the life of the school, and feel welcomed, valued, and connected to each other, to school staff, and to what students are learning and doing in class.

Standard 2: Communicating effectively—Families and school staff engage in regular, two-way, meaningful communication about student learning.

Standard 3: Supporting student success—Families and school staff continuously collaborate to support students’ learning and healthy development both at home and at school, and have regular opportunities to strengthen their knowledge and skills to do so effectively.

Standard 4: Speaking up for every child—Families are empowered to be advocates for their own and other children, to ensure that students are treated fairly and have access to learning opportunities that will support their success.

Standard 5: Sharing power—Families and school staff are equal partners in decisions that affect children and families and together inform, influence, and create policies, practices, and programs.

Standard 6: Collaborating with community—Families and school staff collaborate with community members to connect students, families, and staff to expanded learning opportunities, community services, and civic participation.
